Book excerpt: An analysis was made of some aspects of the Wenograd experimental technique for investigating the thermal stability of explosives at high temperatures. A mathematical model of the experiment was formulated; the equations were solved numerically and investigated parametrically. Results indicated that first estimates of the activation energy and pre-exponential factor of the explosives can be obtained from analysis of the experimental data. (Author).
