It is the most comprehensive open source data set on terrorism that has ever been available to researchers. PGIS employees identified and coded terrorism incidents from a variety of sources, including wire services, U.S. State Dept. reports, other U.S. and foreign gov¿t. reports, U.S. and foreign newspapers, etc.
