Book excerpt: This report is intended to assist designers of smoke ventilation systems in atrium buildings. The primary purpose of the Report is to summarise in a readily usable form the design advice available from FRS at the time of its preparation, As such, it does not attempt to cover installation, detailed specification of hardware, or aspects of fire safety engineering other than smoke control.
