The land becomes the sight of a homestead that changes hands several times until the early 1800's when the Hudson family becomes the inhabitants of the house. The Hudson family is plagued by repeated tragedies while living in the home and the line ends in a double suicide in the mid-1900's. The house eventually becomes the home of the Bowman family who must set about to solve the mystery of the house and land and prevent the death of their own child at the hands of the Manito.
