Rather than focus on keeping the scale in balance to remain whole and healthy, recent generations of parents have assumed putting more items on the success side will automatically add more weight to their child's worthiness side to maintain the balance. Unfortunately, for many kids, the opposite occurs. With each new item added to the success side, the weight applied to the worthiness side increases exponentially to the point they often feel completely unworthy, exhausted, and overwhelmed.
