One of the men that was hanged had the rope to break twice so he was hanged three times before he was dead. Some of the most horrendous murders ever committed are detailed here. Twenty-nine hangings, nine are black men and twenty are white, sixteen are single hangings, five are double hangings, and one is a triple hanging.
