Book excerpt: This is a first collection of poetry built over a year. The themes involve loss and love as well as the introspective look at the mind and its connection with the universe. It's loosely surreal and concerns the illusion and fragile nature of dreams. The bulk of poems are free verse, non-rhyming and try to use other poetic devices such as metaphor, allegory, and word play to create imagery. There are other more technical poems that stick to traditional structures and bring about with them a more profane and archaic look at the world and relate more to spirituality. My inspirations were the characters from Dylan Thomas's collection of work, my own dreams, and also the nature of my psychosis. I also make sure to relay the nature of the way I live despite its apparent loneliness and isolation.
