Book excerpt: A re-evaluation of the underground minable coal resources in the Muley Canyon sandstone member of the Mancos shale in the Henry Mountains coalfield which includes previously uncalcualted land-use and technical restrictions to the minable coal resource are included. The Henry Mountains contains 875 million tons of potentially minable coal. This 19 page report differs from previous evaluations in that it includes additional coal-bed thickness observations and accounts for common restrictions to the minable coal resource.
