Girls enjoy reading girlish phrases like "slumber party" or "share a friendship bracelet" and inspirational or motivational sentences like, "Beauty comes from within," or "Our generation is ready to change the world." Exercises like these help to make learning fun, whether in the classroom or at home. This workbook focuses on writing phrases and sentences in cursive in three parts: Part 1 has mostly short phrases. Students copy and trace the words. The phrases become longer in Part 2. There are a couple of sentences and shorter phrases in Part 2, also, such that the transitions are not too abrupt. Students copy and trace the words. Part 3 advances onto sentences. At this stage, there is no tracing. May your students or children improve their handwriting skills and enjoy reading and writing these girlish phrases and sentences. Note for Parents The goal of this workbook was to make handwriting an enjoyable, relatable experience, while doing so in away that is overall highly positive. Another goal was to also appeal to both younger and older students, as many tweens and teens are just beginning to learn cursive on their own as this skill has been removed from the curriculum. In our original attempt to reach both older and younger students, a few parents suggested changing some phrases such as "don't bug me" and "pouty lips." The updated edition has replaced dozens of phrases (identified by concerned parents), making the book even more positive and suitable for both younger and older girls. Following are several examples of the highly positive nature of this workbook: Team spirit. World peace. Give a compliment. Love the little things. Save the earth - recycle. Always believe in yourself. Everyone is good at something.
