In an effort to reduce the stigma disparaging the severity of mental health issues in the African American community, I conducted research about how art and literature may be used to destigmatize black depression and anxiety. I wrote and illustrated this book targeted towards black children (although anyone can read it!) in an effort to start a conversation where I saw one was lacking.
