The aim of this research work was to characterize and identify those factors that were responsible for the degradation of the watershed. The objectives of the study were to: 1. Identify the species composition and diversity; 2. Determine the economic relevance of the species; 3. Determine the Importance values of the species; 4. Determine the effects of seasons, land use and relief on Importance Value Indices (IVI) of the species; 5. Determine the effects of seasons, land use and relief on selected soil properties.
