The resistance opposes the Magick Guild for their control over society. Their attacks on the Magick Guild are to show their frustration but escalate to a near war. Marcus de Lonthal, head of the Acadamy wants to control the guild and change who is allowed to learn. As he slowly gets closer to his goal, he continues to confront the resistance. Jarith spies on the resistance only to discover they want the same things the Guild wants. He wants to work with them to stop Marcus and help all the people. With Emerick's help they need to find out how the gift from the Goddess can be used to better mankind.
