With the result, as he shows, that one has the ability to record a con tinuous series of sound impressions practically without error; the error varies between and o.oi7, and is very often zero. Furthermore, it must be remembered that the normal heart beat is a variable stimulus and, undoubtedly, accounts for much of the error. It seems certain, therefore, that the threefold error mentioned by Glass cannot be considered well founded.
