Mr. Atkins has exhi bited cubs, produced at various times, by the union of the lion with the tigress. In September last, we saw two lion-tiger cubs in his exhibition, which had been whelped at Edinburgh, on the 3lst December, 1827. Their general colour was not so bright as that of the tiger species, and the transverse bands were rather more obscure. The little creatures were very playful.
