Weather Bureau: Report for the Month of December, 1891 In Eastern Oregon there was snow on the ground from the 12 to close of month, ranging in depth from a trace to 30 inches at Sparta. In the lower valleys and along watercourses there was no snow to remain on the ground. Frosts were general but not of sufficient intensity or of duration to injure fall-sown wheat or other vegetation.
