The work has been continued without interruption in this laboratory since that time and I have now the honor to make a more complete report upon this important subject. During my absence in Europe this work was continued by P. A. Surgeon H. D. Geddings, M. H. S., especially in relation to food stuffs, and his report is embodied in his own words.
