She also describes never ending heat, the red mud and dust and the bugs that were everywhere. Readers will be caught up in this story wondering what will happen next and find it hard to stop reading. The story has a mostly positive viewpoint since she was a volunteer and so much wanted to serve her country in a combat zone.
