Harris, Texas, writes: I am pleased with your New Dwarf Stone Tomato. This is another of our splendid new varieties. In habit of vine it resembles Dwarf Champion, but is of stronger growth and more erect. The fruit resembles Livingston' 3 Stone in color, shape, and what is more remarkable, it 1s almost the same in size. We consider this one of our best productions, one that will meet with general favor, especially with the class of growers whose garden ing is limited to a few acres, and where economy in saving land must be taken into account. The strong, upright growth allows very close planting, at least a half closer each way than, the distance required for the ordinary vin ing varieties; In small gardens the plants niay be set 18x24 inches apart each way, and yet produce an abundant crop. The shape of the fruit is perfect, with a good skin, which is free from cracks about the' stem end. It is very solid, ripens evenly, and is of most excellent quality.
