Book excerpt: This book is a manifesto for shy males who are uncomfortable in the sexually aggressive role. That role specifies that men must make the advances, while women get to remain passive. For shy males, gender equality has been a cruel joke since not only do these roles still exist, the male role has been made even more annoying by the actions of feminists who have no idea what agonies shy men experience. This book promotes the elimination of these roles, which, despite what feminists believe, more men than women are in favor of. But this book is more than a manifesto, for it also presents a theory of gender that is neither traditionalist nor feminist. Social differences between men and women do not go back either to genes, or to dominance in men and submissiveness in women, but to sexual aggressiveness in men and passivity in women. A major implication of this theory is that male sexuality, which is seen as a big problem in sexual misconduct, is not the real culprit at all. It is aggressive sexuality that is the culprit. Ultimately, this book shows what gender equality from the other side, from the male perspective, looks like.
