The purpose of this book is to introduce you to the bare essentials of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform in the context of CAD functionalities using CATIA. If you have previous experience using CATIA many of the features in the 3DEXPERIENCE CAD applications have been directly incorporated into the CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE application. This is particularly true in the case of Part Design and the Generative Shape Design currently available in CATIA V5. There have been significant changes in the Assembly Design application. If you are a first time user with no previous experience with CATIA V5, there is no reason to despair as the tutorial approach of this book will provide you the necessary skills to start using 3DEXPERIENCE with easy to follow tutorials.
