Sustainability as a concept has gradually evolved and spread across various industries and have influenced a great number of businesses over the past decades. It could be due to the fact that people became more aware of it, or it could be a result of its organic growth.The goal of the thesis is to understand the cause-and-effect relationship between suppliers and customers of apparel business. To be precise, who is driving the sustainability in the fashion industry. Is it the customer that demands that his/her clothes to be manufactured in a certain way, or is it the producer that educates the customer. If latter, what are the motives? Are they really genuine as a customer believes them to be, or is it another way to do marketing and, hence, attract a larger clientele and earn more money? In order to tackle and approach all of those questions, this paper, through empirical study, will provide the reader with primary data analysis and its results.
