Nor is he ready to admit that a larger or more comprehensive book is desirable to answer the purpose intended by the volumes of the Cyclopedia of Law. It is only the aim and purpose of the Series to furnish in convenient and inviting form the principles and elements of the American law. Under the head of Contracts it has not been attempted to discuss the various special contracts, which are now considered as distinct legal subjects.
