The book helps students use interesting writing techniques such as similes and metaphors, personification, show not tell, repetition, rhetorical questions and more. Students also practise writing different text types such as a news report, a letter to the Principal, an interview, a review and a class newsletter. In practising text types, students will become familiar with an appropriate format, suitable language and an acceptable tone. This book provides models for different text types. Vocabulary. The book introduces students to a wide range of alternatives for everyday words.
