Book excerpt: This report compares three measures of emotional and behavioral problems, using data for children aged 4-17 years old from the 2001-2007 National Health Interview Survey in the United States. The measures were a brief version of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire, a single answer checkbox on the survey, or a combination of both. The findings indicate that the recorded prevalence of emotional and behavioral problems depends on the measure selected.
