I just wanted to stand out and look good. My parents always wanted the very best for me. My family also inspired me to look further into my future and what I wanted to do as a career. I was convinced by my family, I would be a great fashion consultant. Perhaps, my family was right. However, I decided to take a different career path. To make it in the fashion industry, you need to have connections, you need to network, and it is a cut throat business and very competitive. I felt a little discouraged by doing my research and finding out what it really takes to succeed. I remain strong and continue to think positive. Maybe, one day I will have an opportunity to work in fashion. But for now, I will accept my life just the way it is.
