The book may be used independently or as a companion text. It can also be used for middle school and high school statistics courses. Reza Noubary earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in mathematics from Tehran University, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in statistics from Manchester University. He is a professor of mathematics at Bloomsburg University. His research interests include time series analysis, geostatistics, reliability, risk analysis, and applications of mathematics in sports. Heather Ervin earned her B.S. in mathematics from Bloomsburg University, her M.S. in statistics from Lehigh University, and her Ph.D. in mathematics education from Pennsylvania State University. She is an assistant professor of mathematics at Bloomsburg University. Her research interests include preservice elementary and middle school teachers' understanding and knowledge of fraction models, mathematics preparation of high school students for collegiate mathematics, and teaching statistics through sports.
