Rue learns of the other animals parts in Jeds Circus Show and he is given his own very special act to do in the show. The time comes for the boy to leave and he is sad to have to go, but he knows he can come back to see Rue anytime in Jeds Circus Show. In fact, at the end of the story, the boy is handed some tickets to come back and to sit in the grand stand. My Pet Monkey Named Rue is about being different and being loved.
