He created Adam to fellowship with Him but Adam lost the right to fellowship with God when He committed treason by willfully disobeying God and obeying Satan. His transgression brought sin into the world and Death also came by sin. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12 Death seeks to separate man from life on earth and ultimately from God-the source of life in eternity. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. Genesis 3:8 But Jesus came to restore the fellowship between God and man, giving man peace with God. He gave man peace with God and access to Him. He made a way for us to come back into the place where we belong. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:1-2 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. 1Corinthians 1:9 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 1John 1:3 So today, we can talk to God the father as a man speaks to his friend. We can have a deep relationship with Him so that we can be like Him. This is a great privilege! However, to fully understand what it means to fellowship with God and have a deeper relationship with Him, we need to understand the concept of fellowship, devotion, and quiet time. In this book, we will elaborate on these concepts and differentiate between them with the aim of helping every believer develop the consistency of fellowship, devotion and quiet time with God which is the ultimate purpose of creation.
