The Female Medical Col lege, looking for wider scope and a firmer base, suggested, in fact, that it be adopted by the University. Harvard did not accede to this solicitation and thus the New Eng land Female Medical College cast about for another lord and master, transferred its affections to Boston University, and to day lives happily in the fond embrace of that institution.
