Hosein was born in Trinidad, West Indes. He studied under the guidance of the distinguished scholar of Islam, Maulana Dr. Fadlur Rahman Ansari, at the Aleemiyah Institute of Islamic Studies, Karachi, Pakistan. He is also a post-graduate of Philosophy from the Karachi University of West Indes, and a Post Graduate of International Relations from the University of the West Indes, Trinidad and the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva, Switzerland.
