Such information is essential to the field and contributes to a comprehensive understanding of microbial metabolic pathways and functions involved in biogeochemical processes in extreme ecosystems. This eBook includes a series of recent progress in microbial diversity, ecological functions, and biogeochemistry in Eurasian (hyper)saline and thermal ecosystems with the use of next generation sequencing, omics technologies and interdisciplinary collaboration.
