Book excerpt: The voices that we rather prefer to avoid than be bothered about, and the reasons can be varied for each of us. Whether knowingly or unknowingly, we are all victims of gender equality and caste discrimination, even after being born equal. But important is, that we shall never stop talking and telling and writing about what it must come to light. 'Unabashed Voices' is an amalgamation of 31 wonderful writers from across the country. Who has poured out their best contemplative thoughts on the subject, through their poetry and short stories? India, as a country, has a quite diverse culture and yet we find common ground on certain things, which connect all of us together. This Anthology is a small but initial step toward a better world. With the hope to reach a greater amount of readers and inspire them as well. I am deeply grateful to all the co-authors for joining me and making this Anthology possible, we all together gave this book a shape.
